Frye Regional Piedmont Therapy offers services for a wide variety of conditions that benefit from physical, occupational and speech therapy. The team specializes in orthopedic or sports injury-related problems, neurologic and vestibular conditions, speech and swallowing conditions, lymphedema and Parkinson’s disease focused therapy.
We are dedicated to providing quality care for the serious athlete, the weekend warrior and patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. We strive to maintain an open communication chain with patients, parents, physicians, coaches and insurance representatives so that all can work together to help you recover. We are dedicated to patient satisfaction and positive outcomes from injury or pain.
A referral from a physician is required. We accept most insurance and provide information to the patient regarding benefits of therapy before therapy continues.
Treatment provided for a variety of orthopedic diagnoses including ankle, knee, shoulder, back and neck injuries. Trigger point dry needling reduces inflammation in painful knotted muscles and releases tension allowing for improved mobility and pain reduction.
Our nationally certified Athletic Trainers provide free on-site care to athletes at local high schools including Hickory High, South Caldwell and Fred T Foard. They provide instruction on prevention of injury, quick response to athletic injuries and follow up with physicians and therapists to allow the athlete to return to the playing field as quickly and safely as possible.
Over 80% of the general population will suffer from some type of back pain or injury at some point in their lives. The key to maintaining good back health or recovering from an injury is good strength of your core muscles that support the neck and back. Our program is individualized and focuses on relief of acute pain, reducing stiffness for optimal mobility, muscular conditioning and re-education to prevent reinjury or chronic pain. Throughout the therapy sessions, we emphasize the patient’s role in his or her recovery and lifestyle changes to maintain a healthy spine.
Patients with osteoporosis may have weak and brittle bones. Our therapists help patients with strengthening exercises and core stabilization. They also provide tips that may prevent patient falls.
Falls are the leading cause of unintentional injuries in the U.S. Many falls can be prevented. Therapists help patients with conditions from stroke and other neurological problems to general weakness to regain their balance and reduce falls.
Our industrial rehabilitation program helps injured workers recover from injuries received on the job. Our trained ergonomic therapist helps to analyze what job task might have contributed to the injury and looks for ways to adapt the job task to prevent further injury. We provide on-site job analysis and teaching at local industry and work conditioning rehabilitation to prepare workers to return to their jobs after injury.
Treatment to improve muscle strength in the pelvic area, biofeedback therapy for the treatment of stress or urge incontinence, as well as the treatment of pelvic pain and bowel incontinence for women by therapists with specialized training.
