To be admitted to Frye Regional's Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, the patient must:
- Require 24-hour availability of a physician and a registered nurse with special training or experience in the field of rehabilitation for medical and functional needs
- Be able to actively participate in and benefit from an intensive therapy program, generally defined as three hours of therapy, five days per week, coordinated by an interdisciplinary team
- Require at least two of the following therapies: physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT) and/or speech therapy (ST) - at least one of which must be PT or OT
- Have the expectation of measurable improvement of the patient’s condition and significant functional gains in a reasonable period of time
- Have family/community support to help facilitate a safe discharge back to home or an assisted living facility
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have financial approval
